Howdy do blogging world! :) Hope all is well with everyone! First off let me show you the latest finish....Linus Binky Square. Yay!



Secondly, I'm an official member of the Stitching World Cup now! YAY!! See? Ash'sPart Whoo hoo! I'm excited! Just have to get a few more threads and then a stitchin I will go...hehe..Wish me luck!!

Lastly, had an interesting day today. You all need to shout louder to the Bad News Sprite..he's still not left! *sigh* I do hope things get better for my friends soon...I feel bad being so positive around them all the time..but that's who I am. I can't change that. But it's just hard being Miss Bubbly when your friends are so down in the dumps...and worse yet, I deal with difficult things in life with humor. Always have..so that makes it even more difficult. But anyhoo, about my interesting day. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary...got all the mail together to get ready for the PO..that took a while. LOL Packages galore..:) Made my to do list of thank yous, birthdays..stuff like that to prepare for. The odd part came in an email I recieved from a friend....I am trying to go to her house for a weekend of stashing, gabbing and stuffing our faces. I was just taken aback when she asked if T was going to stay with us...as he's not a stitcher. T was fine with this..and always has been. I just thought it very weird at her perception of him and my craft. T ALWAYS helps me out with my stitching..whether it's color changes..or fabric choices....he even picks out some patterns that I would like. He's very good at that! ;) But it just got me thinking about males who are married/engaged/or love crafty women and how people must view them. It's almost as if they don't share any of their interests...so naturally whenever a person comes to talk about crafts..they would come to the female..not the male! Just struck me as odd...as just because T is a male...he wouldn't be interested in hanging out with us girls??? (Granted he does rather perfer time with his friends) but still....I think males get shafted too much! So I am just saying..I support ALL you males out there..who craft..who know crafters..etc. Bravo to you!! And to my own supporter...I wuv u!

Howdy do blogging friends! Hope this finds you well :) This will probably be a long post, just a forwarning so enjoy. Let me first say, thank you to those who emailed and posted with concern. All things are good on the homefront, just seems as if my friends have been visited by the Bad News Sprite. This is a devious little character that only brings bad news and takes away happiness and smiles as a payment. He has been making quite the appearance in life as of recently and I am ready to BANISH him!! So please, stop some time today and shout at the top of your lungs, BANISH YE EVIL SPRITE! BACK TO WHENCEFORTH YOU CAME, NEVER TO RETURN! I know my friends will greatly appreciate it as will I! :)

So what have I been up to?? Well, today I have been jumping around like a jackrabbit! I made CD mixes and burned them on Cds. I have made my summertime pasta salad. (Let me know if you want the recipe). I have done three loads of laundry. Whew..I'm really quite tired! LOL Not really, but you would think I would be. Oh..and kitted up the rest of my Binky Squares that I have signed up for..as I will be doing the animal ones during StitchingWorldCup. I have done all of the Peanuts gang except for Schroeder and he won't take that long. What is left is what I have been putting off the longest, the Animal Magnetism squares from Stoney Creek. I love animals but I DESPISE all the color changes that Stoney Creek does in this series! Ugh, it's enough to drive me batty! So I decided that the World Cup was the perfect opportunity to force myself to stitch these..with a lot of support and encouragement! :) Once those are done, I will have done the 10 I signed up for..so I could sign up for more! YAY! :) Oh, the patterns are: the panda bear, the grey wolf, the grizzly bear and the koala bear. LOTS of color changes!! Ugh..:P

Well once last thing before I go, (I'll try my best to keep up with the Memes/Questions of the week) I have a little vent. I have put up some stash for sale and have posted it on several boards. I have had people promise to buy the moon and the sun..and have YET to pay!! This was two months ago! I am fed up and going to relist what was being saved for them! Please, KEEP in contact with your buyers/sellers. I consider myself a reasonable person and completely understand if payment is delayed for whatever reason: family, sudden expense..etc. BUT I am irked by people who want to buy several items and then I never hear from them again. I do attempt to contact them but I'm not going to beg. Just a vent...thanks for listening!

Howdy do blogging friends! Ok, now that I got the questions of the week taken care of, I can tell you what I've been up to. Nothing but trouble! LOL Hahaha..just kidding. Today was a pretty normal day. Slept in and ventured out to the grocery store to get the Sunday paper ( seeing as they won't deliver out here...:P ) and a few groceries. Thank goodness we didn't have to get anything for a cookout as all those foods, hamburger meat, hotdogs, buns..etc were ALL sold out!! *gasp* LOL We came back home and have just hung out for the rest of the afternoon; T working on some things for the office and I reading the paper...and fondling my new stash.

Wait a minute?? Did she say NEW STASH? Yes I did...and to where I acquired this new stash...well it was yesterday at a party! LOL I went to the Sue Hillis' house for her annual Memorial Day bash!!! Last year was the first year and because I went to that, I am invited every year now! It is just basically where she opens her home to fellow stitchers from a message board that we belong to, and we stitch, gab, EAT and have a great time! Last year, I spent the night as it was a Sunday/Monday bash. This year, I only went for the first day as she extended it to Sat/Sun and Mon. But the stash part..Stitch..the stash part...as a gift, Sue gives each one of us a goody bag! Man, what a great bag full of patterns, tips, threads, fabric and chocolate!!! YUM!!

But anyhoo, on to the party. I arrived yesterday around noon as it was about 1hr and half away from me. T dropped me off and I walked into a room full of ladies! There were about 30 of us I think. Some of which I didn't get the chance to meet...but I did meet a dear friend, Patti! She came with a group from CANADA!! They were all stitching and gabbing. I made my yummy brownies to contribute to the immense amount of food that we had. There were sandwich wraps, potato salad, salsa and chips..and of course SWEETS! Cake, brownies, cookies, candy....ahhh heaven! Stitching, good friends and sweets!! LOL I talked with Patti and the other girls till about 230 and then we had two seminar-like meetings. One was on finishing techniques that was mainly about proper framing and the other was on fibers and fabrics. It was great fun!!! After the seminars, everyone went back to chatting and stitching. I didn't stitch a lick tho as I was too busy running my mouth! LOL There was a big table in the hallway full of stash piles that other people brought to get rid of. I brought some too, so naturally I helped myself to some new stuff. :/ LOL Have to add to the stash pile don't you know.

Sue gave out the goody bags around 430 and it was immediate chaos and ooohhhs and aahhs. I kept mine in my bag till I got home..as since Patti was all the way from Canada..I wanted to spend as much time with her as I could. Also my friends Kathy and Lynne as well. :) I left about 615 right before they started to set up the make your own pizza dinner! YUM!! It was such a great time and Sue is a great hostess!! I have to make her a lovely thank you note!!

After that, T and I got dinner taking it back to the office where we hung out for a few hours. I looked through all the new stash..*eyes wide* and he worked. It was fun!! :) I like hanging out in his office with him. Then back home...and crash to sleep! LOL

What a fun filled day!!! Thanks Sue and gals for such a great time! Safe travels home! (Most of the girls are still there...as you could spend the night Sat/Sun and leave on Mon). They went to the local LNS today to enhance their stash evenmore...the owner opened it especially for them for a few hours...I missed out on that...but it's ok..as heaven knows I have ENOUGH!! *wink* LOL

Well given that my idea of french knots are petit beads, I would have to say I haven't done any speciality stitches. Though with the recent design of the biscornu on AngelSan's page, I will probably be attempting some speciality stitches here soon. :)

Howdy do bloggers! Sorry I haven't been on the last few days but I've been enjoying this wonderful yet unheard of weather. It has only been in the 70s with lows in the 40s at night for the past few days. LOL I have been able to keep the windows open at night..which has been a blessing. With Memorial Day coming, usually the weather is very hot and very sticky. :p So needless to say, I have been out enjoying the weather. T and I even had a picnic this afternoon for dinner...he got a chicken philly sandwich and I some pork lo mein! YUM!! Just went to the nearby lake and had a nice evening! :) Sadly, tho this weather with not be around much longer as the summer is quickly approaching.

All this talk of weather does have a point tho. What is up with people driving down the street in convertables..and the windows up??? Ummm..hello your top is down..the windows are not going to protect you from the wind. LOL I have seen that everywhere this past few days! People driving their wonderful convertables with the windows up! HAHA...it's quite a sight.

Anyhoo, hope everyone is having some nice weather too! :) No worries tho, I have been stitching at night...on a gift for a friend...pictures to come soon! :)

Well yes I do! *Gasp* But more on that in a minute! First let me say a Howdy do to all my friends in Blogging land. I hope you are all having a great weekend and getting some good stitching done! :) I have...as I actually have an update of Happy Everything! *shock* LOL I have offically caught up with the months now as the next kitty is the Fourth of July kitty..so no more doing New Years kitty in March..LOL (long story) Anyhoo, here is the latest photo taken today:



So on to Saturday..it was a very nice day!! T and I got out into the world today and just had a nice lesiurely drive up to the 'burg. Yes it is a codename for a city..LOL Anyhoo, we went out to lunch..and he even treated me to a craft store! YAY!! Just got some things for making fobs (which none of you are buying...*taps foot*) LOL and a few more surprises for my exchange partner. :) Need to get that package out here soon as it's a tad bit late...but I've alerted my partner..so no worries! Hakuna Mata. But it was a great day..and the sun was shining so I got wind blown hair (from the car windows being down) and a car arm tan..(when you put one arm up on the window sill to rest). :) So here's to a quiet night of TV watching and stitching.

Lately, it seems that many stitching bloggers have experienced a loss of their stitching mojo. Have you ever lost your stitching mojo? If so, how did you get it back and how long did it take?



As you all know by reading this blog, I often lose my stitching mojo. It's mainly due to burnout from either Christmas ornaments or signifcant amount of deadline stitching back to back. When this happens, I do two things..one gripe about it to my friends, family etc as I have always been taught that talking things out make them better. However, I'm sure they get sick of it after a while! LOL Two, I'll go through my stash, magazines, kits etc to find something to light the spark back in my stitching lantern. If that doesn't work, I'll look at finishes and be like I can do that. Otherwise, the best way to get rid of it..is to just sit down, shutup and STITCH! LOL

Have you ever stumbled on a reading and found the author so charming you started reading their books? Or, have you ever met a formerly favorite author and stopped reading their works because of how they treated their fans?


I can answer this question with a simple no on both fronts. In college, our English professors would often have local authors come to visit our classes and I was would always get them to sign the book. :) But their actual readings, always seem to interfere with another class so I never went. :( Plus living in a smallish town, there aren't that many opportunities to go hear authors read/speak.

We had a quiet weekend spent just lounging around and stitching or reading. Howdy do bloggers! Just a quick little entry before I go and do some more work on Happy Everything! :) I'm in a major mode to just stitch and stitch on it. LOL So have to strike while the iron is hot..as they say. Anyhoo, upon looking at some new blogs today to see what the rest of the world is up to, I stumbled upon a new Stitchy Question blog. YAY fun!! I love answering questions..makes conversation much easier..as the hardest part is coming up with the answer..not the topic. LOL

This is a very simple answer. CRANE"S PARADISE!!! I have everything ready and raring to go, but it's all in one bag and has YET to be started!! Everytime I get ready to start it, I see Happy Everything laying next to it and feel guilty. This usually results in me working on HE and putting Crane back down. *sigh* Soon...I hope! LOL

Howdy do bloggers! Just squeaking this entry in the last few moments of Friday. LOL Had a good today, didn't do very much but stitching. YAY! Worked on HE so I'll have another update pic here soon. Hopefully, it'll look like I actually stitched on it this time. LOL I still don't think I've accomplished much but I'm sure you will beg to differ. :) Anyhoo, hope everyone had a great Friday! "When you stitch from a kit and use the supplied floss do you have leftovers? If so, how much and what do you do with them? If not, do you usually have just enough or do you have to dig into your stash to finish?"

Hmmm...honestly I haven't stitched an actual kit in a while. However, I do often have floss left over. As to what I do with it, it usually goes into a plastic container where it collects until one day an idea will strike me as to what to do with it. LOL Mostly tho, I convert it into friendship bracelets for friends. It's usually about the right link, so it works perfectly. :) I do have to say though that the majority of the leftover floss is either black or the darker colors of the kit. I don't know why but that's what's mainly in the container. LOL Go figure..hehe.

Howdy do blogging world! Well, you know how sometimes in life you map out your direction with the clear cut goal of reaching your destination? That didn't happen to me today. LOL I had every intention of spending the day washing the kitchen floor and then stitching for the rest of the afternoon. However, once I got down Cinderella style on the floor, I noticed the cupboards were looking a bit grimey and then the countertops..and well you get the idea. LOL So no stitching today...but some much needed cleaning was done instead. Overall it was a productive day...just decided to take a left instead of a right on my map. LOL

Howdy do bloggers! I'm still here! LOL Bet you thought I had gone back under a rock, huh? LOL No sorry, just took some time off from the puter to get some much needed housework and other stuff done. Sometimes you just have to "ground" yourself away from the puter especially with the amount of time I spend on it. LOL Sadly, during this time there wasn't any stitching accomplished but I got other things accomplished. Most importantly, I think I'm nearly all caught up on sending packages/letters and postcards that I promised people! LOL YAY!!! I do apologize for all of those that have been waiting for things from me...there is no excuse in my tardiness just well...I got overwhelmed. :/

Anyhoo, so probably tomorrow I will sit down with Cd player in my ears blaring music, Happy Everything and reward myself to a day of stitching. :) Of course, that's after I throw in a load of laundry and wash the kitchen floor...LOL A woman's work is never done...LOLOLOLOL

Oh..duh..update...I'm feeling 100 percent better! Just had to let the sickies take their course..and they knocked me down for a good day and half...but I'm just dandy now!! Rip roarin ready to go! LOLOL

Howdy do everyone! As you can see I'm two days late with this weeks SBQ *hangs head in shame*. Just haven't posted in a while due to not feeling like it. Allergies are driving me nuts! I don't take anything as it's just one type of plant that thankfully doesn't last that long, but for a few days every Spring...ugh. Hit by a truck anyone!?! Anyhoo, so not much stitching has been done but I am glad to say that I managed to add a butterfly button on the LK freebie. It needed a little something...hehe. So now I have to finish it..and put it in the exchange package that's due next week. :) Going to go to the craft store this weekend to see if I can add a few things...I've got quite a lot but I always have the problem of is it enough? Of course, 9 times out of 10 when people get my packages, they are overwhelmed but I'm never sastified. LOL

On to the Stitchy Bloggers Question:

Do you or have you stitched with over-dyed threads? (Weeks Dye Works, The Gentle Art Sampler Threads, Six Strand Sweets, etc.) If so, what is your opinion concerning them? If not, why not?

No offense but this is a duh question for me. LOL I ALWAYS use overdyed threads though I have only washed a project using overdyed threads once...and well I made a new fashion statement..let's say! LOL It was using WDW Celebration..and let's just say I wasn't celebrating! LOL But yes, I do use overdyes all the time. Mainly I use, SSS ( Six Strand Sweets ), Carrie's Threads and some others. I don't like GAST at all!! Feels like cardboard so I won't use them. Bleech! :P Hope that answers the question! Hehe...

Alright..well I'm going to go lie down and sleep off the rest of my allergies here...I'll be fine in a day! :)

Howdy do blogging world! Hope everyone is doing alright! So..why the lack in posts..well simply this..I've been stitching!! *GASP* Imagine that! LOL The mojo has returned! YAY! I just picked up some fabric, a freebie and some threads..and just sat down to stitch. Believe it or not it came back..as I started to care what colors I had picked..and made several changes. LOL It was a good feeling! :) Anyhoo, here is the end result: Hello Spring Freebie by Lizzie Kate



The fabric is 14ct Aida I believe that I dyed with lime koolaid. The picture doesn't really show that..but it is lime green! LOL

Anyhoo, since I finished that..I thought I"d share the latest update of Happy Everything too! It's coming along nicely...this was the few stitches I put in while I was on my vacay! :)



So here's hoping the mojo stays with me as May is a BIG birthday month!!! Whew..speaking of which..why amm I on the puter...I need to be making birthday presents!! LOL

Someone has stole my stitching mojo! LOL I have TONS of things to stitch on...need to. I have an exchange that's due here next month..haven't started that. I have FIVE impending birthdays for the month of May, all dear friends of mine, that I need to do something for. I haven't picked up Happy Everything in a while...well since my mini vacation but I didn't do that much on it. *sigh* Give me my mojo back!!!! I know there are frogs for when you well..frog...but what do we call a thief that steals your stitching mojo? A little green gremlin with pointy shoes that steals all your thunder to stitch while you are sleeping??? Hmmmm....he must hide under the SanMan's wheels and when the SanMan is putting sand in your eyes, this little thing robs you blind of your mojo!!!! Curse you, danged creature!!!! Anyhoo, hopefully he will decide to give it back soon..or I might have to hold him hostage somehow...maybe tempt him with chocolate?? What do you think?? LOLOL

The simple answer..yes...the more complex answer..never as it's forever embedded in my memory. Fellow bloggers, there has always been the constant question of does a "heaven on Earth" exist? I can now answer that question, yes..and it is where I visited this weekend with T. :) I am not going to share the actual location as the town is small and I want to preserve it...word of mouth is often powerful and could lead to immense movement to this area. Pardon me for being selfish but I wish to keep this "heaven" for myself and T. LOL

Anyhoo, we left for our destination on Friday...bright and early in the morning as we couldn't wait to get there. We took our time going up there..making a couple of stops along the way..to eat..and of course the reintroduction of feeling into our feet of the ground..LOL ( A fancy way for saying walking around to get out of the car) We checked in to our hotel around 11am..and immediately felt the "monkey" of stress and life be lifted from our back. It truly was heaven. Cold and rainy on that day..but we honestly didn't care. We got McDonald's for lunch..and then came back to take a nap. After that, we set out on foot..as Miss Rachel Ray says.." the best way to learn a city is on foot"....walked past several quaint little shops...houses...it was really nice. We stopped to watch the boats go by...and then back to the hotel for the evening. I must interject and say I'm glad I've lost as much weight as I have...for if I had done that much walking being what I used to weigh..I would have needed someone to carry me back!! LOL

Saturday was outing day. We went to obtain the one precious thing I have to have when I go to the beach....SALT WATER TAFFY!!! YUM!!! We went to the local national wildlife refuge to look at the ..well wildlife. It was another cold and rainy day...but who goes to the beach for the sun right?? LOLOL We tried to go into the lighthouse they have there..but sadly it was closed due to a power outage. :( Oh well..gives us reason to go back! LOL But the end of the park literally runs out into the ocean..so here is a pic for you to drool over:



After that..it was off to explore some more..of the small towns nearby on the mainland...very small towns. LOL I was struck by this church...as it was just so quaint...and beautiful. The architecture was stunning!!!! Of course I don't remember what town it was in..LOL




On to Sunday....was our lazy day. We ventured out for the local Sunday paper...and basically just hung around the hotel. It was just a nice relaxing vacation! Ahhh...and yes..sadly we had to leave. But we will DEFINATELY be going back soon!! :)

I did bring some stitching with me..Happy Everything..and did some on that...so I will be posting the update here soon! YAY!!! :) Have a good one!

Howdy do blogging friends! No, I haven't fallen into a hole..yet...just been busy finishing this!! What is it? It's my FIRST attempt at making one of those spiffy Mail Art things!! It's not too terribly bad..tho I do have to say I can do much better on the next one. I did it for an exchange through the San Man board and it was for Margo, who loved primitave designs and red. Oy Vey! I thought I would go BLIND before I finished this!! Going to toss some threads and a few other small goodies inside and then it's off to it's destination! :)

Anyhoo, I have decided to forgo last weeks SBQ as it didn't really apply..and it would be pretty ridiculous to just type no..LOL So on to this weeks..Enjoy!!!


Do you do obligation or deadline-based stitching? Why or why not? If you do, do you tend to get in over your head and why?


LOL what a question to ask me..Queen of exchanges and stitching on deadlines. LOL I often overextend myself to the point of pulling all nighters to get obligation stitching done. It's terrible I know...but for some reason..I kind of like it to. It's nice to have a deadline...as it forces you to work on the project...that you might normally toss to the side. Of course, I often do so much stitching for others, I rarely do any for myself..LOL

Howdy do blogging world!! Hope all of you are about to embark on a wonderful Easter weekend full of fun and family. :) If you noticed the title of this blog and the bad pun I did, it will probably explain my week. LOL It has been hectic to say the least. I haven't quite been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off..but close. What has been so hectic? Simple..mail art. I joined my first Mail Art exchange and thought it would be easy to do. I was wrong..LOL It's not that it's difficult, it's just that my partner's favorite color is red..so I've been going blind slowly with so much red. I can't put up a pic of it yet as she hasn't recieved it..but I will when she gets it. Just to give you a taste, it was done on Oatmeal Fiddlers Aida using DMC 75 which is a red varigated thread. That's all you get for now! LOL

I did recieve a BEAUTIFUL mail art envelope from my dear friend Nona! Isn't it cute!!?? She knows me too well as she stitched Newton's Law on it. I love that teddy bear!! Err..at least I think he's a teddy bear! She did a great job on it!



This is the front of it! It was done on what looks to be a hand-dyed fabric of light blues and pinks. The two little ladybug buttons have elastic that wraps around them to hold it shut. I had to blur out the addresses for privacy of course, but they were stitched in the patented Newton's Law font. :)



Here's the back of it with Newton! Isn't he cute!?!?! I love it!!! :) In the inside of the envelope, was a lovely card and a kit. The kit was a chinese symbol that says Good Fortune...Definately going to be yet another WIP for me soon! LOLOLOL


I'll answer the SBQ and the Booking Through Thursday questions tomorrow. I have a stitchy date tomorrow with my good friend R. LOL We haven't seen each other in two months I believe...*gasp* it's hard to believe it's been that long. We were going to do lunch as well, but the place that we usually go to is closed tomorrow for the Easter holidays. :( Boo! Oh well, at least I get some stitchy time in. Howdy do! Yesterday was a great day! The sun was shining, it was cool but not hot. Ahhh...a true definition of what I think Spring to be. :) T and I had a pleasent afternoon venturing to the book fair over the mountain. Sadly, we didn't come out with many books but we had fun just being together. :) We did get some of our FAVORITE BBQ chips, Martin's M chips! A Godsend to say the least!! LOL But it was a nice afternoon trip. :)
My thumb has healed!! YAY! I managed to put some neosporin on it when it happened and POOF all better!! :) LOL I did a little stitching tonight and finished up a magnet but that's it. Tomorrow or today since it's past midnight..LOL I'll probably work on Happy Everything. I'm in the mood to do that. :) Or I might start Happy Spring by Lizzie Kate. Something small and simple! Hehe...

Hmmm..I was drawn to him because eventhough he is quite rich and well established in life, he is extremely naive. The way that he looks at everything in life with almost the pure innoncence of a child is amazing to me. He's so charming and witty but so clueless to the mysteries of love, when someone is using you. He's just such a wonderful character but so tragic at the same time. A true definition of what the American Dream is in an optimists mind versus reality.


4. Is there something more you would like the author to tell you about them?

No, not really as I think Fitzgerald gives you just enough information. Enough to know him personally but not delve too deep into his psyche.

Howdy do bloggers! I hope everyone had a great Friday! We finally got some much needed rain here..YAY! It was even nice and came with a light show...a boomer that brought lightening...but I don't mind those kind. Just a typical Spring storm. :) It actually got me in the mood to stitch. So there I was, pulling out an alphabet and some floss and the fabric to stitch a quickie magnet when it happened. I managed to give myself a very nasty paper cut on the squishy part of my thumb!!! Owie!!! So until that heals a bit, I can't stitch as the cut is right where the needle sits when I have to pull it through the fabric. *sniff sniff* Oh well..will just have to find a good book to read or something. LOL

So here's to a rainy weekend...and some time to relax...oh and a quite healing of my thumb as I wanna stitch!!!! :p LOL

Do you stitch “on the go?” (On the commute to and from work, during your lunch break, waiting for the kids, etc.) If so, do you have a specific “travel” project or do you just grab whatever you happen to be working on and take it with you

Hmm..good question. I don't stitch on the go as first I can't stitch while in a moving car as it gives me a headache..but strangely only if I'm in the passenger seat..if I'm in the back seat..I don't get a headache. Weird I know..However, I do take a stitching project with me on vacation or overnight trips. Usually it's just the project I'm currently working on and maybe some smaller things like magnets or cards to have a sense of accomplishment while on vacation. LOL

Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man, Whistle Stop Cafe, and Welcome to the world Baby Girl


2. Why do you like this author?

I like this author for two reasons. One she is a redhead like myself and her personality bleeds through her writing. Redheads are often outspoken, funny, a bit sarcastic, and full of energy. (At least they are in my experience) Secondly, she is a true Southern lady. Her wit and Southern grace is very evident in some of the ways she develops her characters plus the fact that all of her books take place in small southern towns. If you want to read a charming yet funny book about classic Southern culture, then definately check her out. :)

3. Have you read everything by this author? Why or why not?

No I haven't read everything by her. As to why, I do not know. Some of her books are rather hard to find and are often checked out in the library which I must rely on. Plus she always seems to be coming out with new books that I somehow miss finding out about until I go visit her section in the library. LOL But I do intend to read everything she's written! :)

Ok..as you may have noticed my blog has a lot of things missing and a new background!! I was playing with it..making it better..and I must have goofed and reset the settings...*sigh* I will return it to it's Spring status tomorrow...right now I'm frustrated and going to bed...

Howdy do blogging world! It's officially spring now as we had our first bout with nasty thunderboomers last night! The weatherman hyped them up more than what they actually were..mainly just some lightening and thunder. I was scared though as we were under a tornado watch and out of all the things I would want to do in my life..being Dorothy is not one of them. I have been in Earthquakes, hurricanes, tropical storms, blizzards and even a near miss with an avalanche...but I do NOT care to add tornado to my list thank you. :p I was more worried about T as he was still at work and they were getting nastier as they were heading his way....:( He made it home safely..a bit drenched but safe. He decided to make a pit stop to delay his travels at the store to pick up a surprise for me! :) Awwwww....and luckily the storm blew passed while he was at the store. :)

Anyhoo, not much production on the stitching front...much of the day was spent cataloging, photographing and pricing stash to put in my photobucket album for sale. I need to sell a few things to get some dough to buy new stuff! LOLOLOL Isn't that the way it always works??? Though unlike what I usually do with "yard sales" as I call them and spend the cash on more stash....I might actually buy some new pants and shirts. I have lost nearly a 100lbs since Oct 2004...it's time for some new clothes...LOL

Hopefully tomorrow with it being cooler now and sunny...I can get some stitching in. Once I finish organizing my stash for sale of course. LOL Maybe I'll get some good progress on Happy Everything though I have some more birthday presents to do. Hmmm...dilemmas....

Howdy do everyone! It's now April..can you believe it??? Pretty soon it will be summertime! EEK!! Where does the time go?? Remember how it seemed to take FOREVER to get to the weekend when you where in school?? LOL Anyhoo, not much done on the stitching front today. :( I did manage to get some batteries for the camera so tomorrow's project will be picture taking, organizing, pricing all this stash I have lying around. LOL No worries I"m not selling all of it...just the part that I look at now and go what in the world was I thinking?? LOL

Howdy do! Long time no write eh....so that means I've been busy scaling Mt. Everest or lost in the Amazon jungle, right? Nope...just haven't blogged in a while..no excuse really but I have my little Blog Policeofficer now and she'll tell me when it's been too long without a blog! LOLOL

Anyhoo...not much stitching going on, though I finished a couple of needlebooks that I will show off here soon. YAY! Tomorrow will be getting batteries as I also have acquired the battery police as well...LOL Of course, it will also be grocery shopping..and other things as T has to work this weekend. :/ Maybe I'll go with him to keep him company...don't know yet.

Alright now to the point of this blog...I have made a new friend through T...one of his fellow coworkers...let's call her L....and we've recently started emailing each other during the day..as I do with T. ( Yes they do actually work as well) LOL Very hard mind you!! Anyhoo, she sent me a certificate that I am most proud of!! I am offically with this certificate an Office Groupie...meaning that even though I don't work there...I am a member of the group! What comes with this priviledge?? Hearing all the juicy gossip about fellow co--workers and two good friends! :) Just kidding about the gossip...or am I?? I'll leave you to ponder that...

Howdy do! Well I squeezed out the last little bit of energy in the batteries of my camera to take these pics. I haven't done much stitching this weekend...been too engrosed in other things. Shame on me!! LOL I really need to stitch..I've got a birthday package that needs to go out ASAP...as the birthday is the 31st! Eek!!! :) So anyhoo...enjoy the pics!!

Howdy do blogging world! Here I sit today having not accomplished much of anything. I have laundry I need to do...stitching I need to do....but yet I'm not drawn to do either. LOL Ever feel like that?? I did manage to do a little cleaning today...just the dishes..but hey it's something right. LOL

Anyhoo, there is a side of me that some of you don't know..I am a DUKE basketball FREAK!!! I have loved Duke basketball since I can remember...and tonight was their Sweet 16 game. No..they are not turning 16 years old..it's just the name of the level that they have reached in the NCAA Tourney. Their opponents were LSU ( Louisana State University ) and all week all of the major sports "peeps" have been declaring their love for LSU. Now, I being a Duke fan was waiting for our time to shut up the media and kick 'em where it hurts by beating the living Hades out of LSU. I'm still waiting....needless to say Duke LOST tonight!! We had an off night but that it not the main point why we lost...the main reason is simply this..REFS don't call things BOTH ways!!!!! We were constantly fouled and battered but because the media had decided that LSU was going to beat DUKE...they were ignored. So the point of this is that if you are going to call things..call it BOTH ways...when you flip a quarter you can't always call the same thing everytime because you look like a DONKEY! Plus you will lose more than you win...but that's not the point...

So my beloved Dukies lost tonight and we are out of the tourney...so close yet so far away...*sigh*

To my Dukies:

You played your hearts out and gave us a great season! Don't think of yourselves as failing as in you lost..everyone loses eventually. The point is to take this loss as a building point to a wonderful season next year! Thanks for a great season J.J, Sheldon, Sean, Lee, Ross, and Patrick J! Good luck in your future endeavors but never forget you have the heart of a Blue Devil!! :)

You'll always been number 1 to me no matter what!

Hmm..seems my blogging friends have decided to go into hiding for a bit considering the amount of comments I have. LOL Tis ok..we all need a break sometimes..Anyhoo, not much happened today on the crafting front. I did some planning of projects but not any stitching..but there is always tomorrow. :)

Anyhoo..I'll answer the SBQ tomorrow as well but I would like to start a petition..an online decree to the company that makes Triscuit crackers. You have a wonderful new cracker flavor of Rosemary and Olive Oil. I buy these boxes often as they are just sooo good and quite addicting. However, upon entering the grocery store to replenish my stash usually in a cranky mood as some child has decided to use a cart as a racing car, I find an unwelcome surprise. Much to my dismay, your company DOES NOT make a Family Size box of these crackers. I would appreciate a family size box as it would last longer and it would save on the green stuff ( money ). So I'm calling all Rosemary and Olive Oil Triscuit lovers to unite and let's alert the company by signing my online petition. It's very simple...just leave a comment on my blog and lets hope we can change this!!!

Good evening Bloggy friends! Notice anything different?? LOL I played with my blog today and made it snazzy I think. Hehe..Hope you like it. Let me know if you have any problems with reading things..as I can tamper with the text colors next. Anyhoo, no batteries today..tried to find them but they were sold out so no pics yet. Sorry! :( Odd day today...woke up to snow falling..it didn't stick around long but it was pretty. Odd in the sense that it's the first full day of SPRING...I think Mother Nature forgot today was Spring..LOL

As for crafty things..made a few more beaded fobs for people. Contests I have had on some of the message boards I belong to...so I think it's time I sent them out! LOL Other than that..wrote a few letters and got some packages together..pretty boring day. What cross-stitch magazines or other publications (as opposed to blogs) do you read on a regular basis? What do you like about them? What do you not like? What would your perfect publication include?


Hmm..Good question! I don't frequent the cross stitch magazine frontier that often as they are expensive and most of the time useless to me. However, I do love the UK mags! Though I can't love them as much as I would want to as a subscription is more than $100 bucks!! Eek..so having said that, my favorite is Quick and Easy. Almost always it has a few good patterns and heaven knows I appreciate the card designs as they often are of things that are perfect for those you might not know what to make them. Get it? LOL I have purchased several Britain's No 1 Cross Stitcher has they have Margaret Sherry patterns in them nine times out of ten.

As for my perfect publication, that is simple. It would have to include a FULL number and alphabet set. ( Unique themes are much appreciated) Some feel good stories as I call them, just basically people showing off their work as sometimes you just need that boost when you are in a slump. Plenty of tips..not just how to stitch tho as most of the magazines have...but more importantly how to finish!!!! Ideas on how to make tuck pillows, needlebooks..etc. A combination of patterns that are whole stitches for the beginner but also include new stitches or more complex patterns as some of the magazines cater to the beginner which often loses the more advanced stitcher. Umm..I think that's it.. Oh..and get RID of those Celeb stitch patterns!!! UGH!! :P

As a matter of fact, I do have an organizational system for my patterns. They are all in an accordian file sorted by subject matter. My freebies are the same way but placed in a 3 ring binder according to subject matter.

No, I have not done this. I don't know why but it's probably related to evenweave scares me! I'm an Aida chick! LOL

Muwhahahahahaha!! *evil laugh* Just kidding! I'm back home now! YAY!! How I've missed being able to come on the puter and email or journal...but family comes first! I'm just glad that things are FINALLY back to normal! Of course they are as I have laundry to do, cleaning to do, things to stitch, mail to send out..ahhh..the wonders of being normal! :) LOL I missed you all while I was away and will be showing the fruits of my labor here soon! Of course once I take the pictures of the pieces and then upload them LOL. Well, now to resume to our regular program.....

No worries...I am sitting at a coffee shop where they have unlimited internet and I'm posting all the blogs that I've written while I was away. Whew!! What a windy day!!! Sheesh if someone was flying a kite, I bet they are orbiting Mars by now. LOL Of course, this strong wind blew the cold air back in so no more Spring weather for a little while. *sniff sniff* But hey, at least the flowers are beginning to come out and there are buds on the trees. : )
Anyhoo, had a fun filled day with my friend Lynne. Of course no stitching was accomplished as we were gabbing too much! LOL Though we did manage some stitching related items as I helped her with a pattern dilemma and she helped increase my stash! : ) Always thankful for that! LOL Hopefully, I’ll get to see her again next week and not have to wait a month like I did before. We were really good tho as usually we go out for lunch and shopping. However, the only thing we did was go to the local B&N ( Barnes and Noble) bookstore to search for the Quick and Easy March 06 issue, sadly to no avail tho. I’m going to check up here where I’m at..and hopefully they’ll have it. : ) I saw a preview of it and Harry the Hippo is soooo cute!! I love his little overalls!! : )
So that was my day! Fun fun!! Only a few more days left away from home..and then HOME!! Can’t tell I’m happy about that can ya?? LOL

Salutations my fine blogging friends! Another day gone by and not to much to report. Naturally, upon mentioning how much I was enjoying the weather, it has decided to change again. *sigh* Now it is to be quite windy and cold tomorrow. Mother Nature...gotta love her. LOL I know Spring will come in due time so I have to be patient. I’m sure it will be well worth the wait.
Nothing on the stitching front today either. Just seem to be going through a slump or preoccupied with other things. I did manage to do another exercise from my writing bible. I’m not going to tell you the subject as the rules were that you had to use this subject and write a poem without mentioning the subject but give enough details so that one could figure it out. Hopefully I accomplished that. So here it is:

Slicing through the innocent night sky
making an eerie sound.
A cross between a “whooo” of an owl
and a distant siren.
Reaching for a certain degree of height
as not to cause problems to the fragile Earth below.

Upon reaching that height the sound stops for a split second
only to rupture in a sonic boom.
Sound pierces the night sky
scaring the stars completely away.
The boom is not long
a few milliseconds in the sky, eternity to the human ear.

During the silence following
a beautiful scene emerges.
Colors litter the sky
as if an Impressionist came down from heaven.
All sizes and shapes
a true wonderment of such beauty crammed into a shell.

Representing hot days and picnics
scratchy grass against bare feet and blankets.
First glances, touch, kisses
these romantic Chinese stars.
Most important, symbols of freedom
as a flag waves proudly in the distance.

Greetings my fellow bloggers! Not much to report today I’m afraid. I’m slacking big time on the stitching front..I did manage a few stitches today in a birthday gift, but other than that not much progress on anything else. I need to pick Happy Everything back up but haven’t yet. Where are my stitchy cheerleaders when I need them?? LOL
Here on the East Coast, we have been having some lovely weather! Nice and warm but not excessively warm. You know the weather where you feel that if you just lie around in your naked luster, you’d still somehow have too much on and be sweating your weight in water! Well it’s coming as the summer is impending, but the weather I’m speaking of is the nice and warm weather..highs in the 70s..fresh air..ahhh : ) I don’t mind this kind of weather at all. Signs of spring are all around..the new buds on the trees, the daffodils, all the new life..makes you feel like going out and trying something new. I haven’t quite figured out what I'm going to try to do yet..I’ll keep you posted though. : )
Well life shall get back to normal by St. Patty’s day. That is when I will be returning home again..come hades or high water!! Sheesh...I’m beginning to forget what the place looks like...tho I’m sure the maid hasn’t come to clean the house...*sigh* Oh wait a minute..I”m her!! LOL But hey, what a glorious way to celebrate my Irish heritage...chasing dust bunnies : D Teehee...

Another day, another book started. LOL Notice I didn’t say stitching project being started, I said book. This time it’s the sequel to Angus that’s entitled On the Brightside I’m the Girlfriend of a Sex God by Louise Rennison. I’ll let you know how it is after I finish it. I got about 100 pages in last night being up till 3am reading. LOL I haven’t done that since college, stay up to the wee hours of the morning reading. I have done that in stitching mode, it’s called Christmas! LOL I’m sure all my fellow stitchers know exactly what I’m talking about..scarfing down the caffeine to keep your eyes and brain somewhat capable of pulling a thread through fabric with tiny holes. Plus, being able to decipher all those blasted reds and greens that SO many Christmas ornaments have while your fighting going to sleep. Y’all know what I’m talking about. : ) Anyhoo, that was today..pretty boring I know. I need to finish up some birthday gifts this weekend so tomorrow ( Sat ) will be stitching for sure! Only a few more days and I’m home again!! YAY!! :) Can’t wait! Hehehe...:)

Progress on the layout: I figured out some of my headings as I’m going to be dividing this journal into more than just a stitchy journal. Musings will be just that...attacks of the muse..you know those annoying little fairies that whisper poetry and stories in your ear. LOL Stitchy stuff ( need a better title ) will be well..stitchy stuff..my latest projects...finishes...details..etc. Kinks will be life’s kinks..rants, raves...or just simple problems I have with life...I borrowed this idea from T.. Howdy do blogging world. Yep, I’m still here. Just counting down the days till my life can return to normal. :) Though some would say it’s never been and never will be normal. LOL Anyhoo, upon this departure from the net world, I have reacquainted myself with an odd matter known as a book. What is this book you say?? Well it’s the bound material that someone took the time and angst to write either using a pen/notebook or heavens to betsy a typewriter! Gasp!! Sarcasm is my forte don’t you know. : ) But I’ve been doing stitching of course and when I can’t bear to stab the fabric anymore, I have picked up the bound mystery. In my quest for said item, I had read the book Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennsion as mentioned on Karen’s blog. I liked her style of writing that I went further into the jungle known as the public library and jungle is being nice, to see if she had written more books. Much to my delight, she has and I acquired two more of them to read during my hiatus. Feeling a bit odd though as I was in the Young Adult section and I being neither...well..I am still young..just not as young as these books are catered to, I glanced at the shelves of books. Now this is not known of me, but I love to read! The classics, mysteries, poetry...pretty much anything though I have yet to get into that sci fi world...far too intergalactic for my liking...but I did make an attempt on it one time. More on that later. Anyhoo, my reason for choosing books can be anything from the author, time period, to simply the cover. I have picked many a book based on the cover and I’m proud to say that I have good taste as I’ve enjoyed every one of them. :) But back to my initial rambling of being in a jungle of Young Adulthood, I stumbled across this book entitled, Click Here by Denise Vega. I was drawn by two things, first the title which for some reason did not irk me as normally when someone sees “click here”..it leads them to a dangerous world of scandalous images to which your reward is a total annihilation of your computer. Secondly, the fact that a book obviously dealing with the internet was in the fiction section of the Young Adult section. This struck me as odd simply because nearly every book in the jungle seemed to have teenage angst with puppy love written all over it and while it’s fun reading it..it often conjures up my own teenage humiliations most of which I thought had been buried in the dark depths of my mind that with age I hope would go away.
Click Here is very simply a published blog written and coded by Erin P. Swift, a seventh grader who is about to embark on teenage hood and all the glory that comes with it. Boys, homework, fashion you know all the things that consume the adolescent mind making them completely different from the rest of the world causing them to isolate themselves. It’s quite a cute book actually. To Erin’s horror, she finds out that her best friend Jilly will be on a different track for school. The school divides it’s 450 seventh graders into to “tracks” , A, B, C in order to give everyone opportunity to make the most of themselves and their education. At first, Erin is mortified as her friend Jilly has basically controlled her life since Kindergarten and she worries that she will do everything wrong. However as with life, things change. Sorry for the shortened version of the story but I’m afraid I’d give too much away. :) Book reports were never my forte anyway.
So let the countdown begin, only 5 more days till I get to return home and be normal! YAY!

What a long strange trip its been?! LOL

Howdy do everyone! I'm still here! LOL Now I know you all have been eager to know what I've been doing with time during my absence. Simply this, writing, stitching and playing with kitty. T's mom has a kitty kat so naturally with my love of animals, him and I have been getting in good quality time. He loves me now as I brush him almost every day to the point that he's spoiled. LOL As for stitching, I've been working on my binky squares and some Christmas ornaments. Now I know you all think I'm crazy as it's nearing March and I'm working on Christmas ornies, however, it's been in the 30s and I'm in the mood so I figured strike while the pot is hot. LOL But the third thing might have thrown you for a loop. Writing?? I didn't know she could do that. Well to tell you the truth, yes I can and I've missed it for some time. It's nothing special..just some stories about me...poems....whatever the little book insipires me to do. The little book is the Writer's Block..full of words, phrases, and questions to insipire those that shudder at a white piece of BLANK paper...much like the mind upon viewing such an item. I've written a story about the Date from Hades..and other things..that if I muster up enough courage I *might* share. I used to be quite the writer when I was a teenager..mainly about how parents just don't get it...and the typical other teenage angst problems. I even was the editor of the school newspaper but once I entered college I let it go. Heaven knows I've needed it as it's the cheapest version of therapy one could obtain...but mainly it was just journaling in college but no real writing. So that's what I've been up to. As for returning back to normalcy..that should happen by the weekend...just have a few added things to clear up. I miss you all!!

TGIF everyone! Hope everyone is having a good Friday! Tis nice and warm here in Va. It's hard to imagine that last weekend we were being blessed with 8 inches of snow and now it's 60! Strange weather...LOL

I had a blast yesterday with a good friend of mine!! I went to her house to stitch and gab for the day while T was at work. We had MAD fun!! We went out shopping for crafty stuff....LOL She bought more than I did...I just got some black rondelle beads. I finally gave her her Christmas present..and Valentine's Day present! She loved both of them!! Of course her ornament is pending as to when I can find where I put it! I put all my ornaments in a ziploc bag during the year...and I stuck it some place where I knew I wouldn't lose it. That's the evil sentence right there..." where I know I wouldn't lose it"...seems like if you put ANYTHING under that precedent...you WILL lose it! :/ LOL Anyhoo, had a yummy lunch of chicken salad sandwiches..and just gabbed the day away. It was great! I can't wait to hang out with her again!! :) No stitching was done however...we were just having too much fun. LOL

Howdy do! Happy Valentine's Day to all those in love and mushy stuff...LOL No, I do Valentine's Day too. T was a sweetie and made dinner for me tonight! :) Nice and quiet..just the way I like it. Tho tomorrow is one of my favorite days..half price off all CHOCOLATE! whooo hooo..talk about shopping spree!!! :D Random statement..but I don't know what's going on with the website for my cravings.....it is down for now..and I'm not sure when it will back. :( Just thought I'd let ya know...

So let's see...I broke my stitching slump...and stitched on a Christmas ornie. Yea, I know..CHRISTMAS?!?!?! *THUD* But it was a small project..and I figured that's what I needed to jump back into..to cure the slump. No picture tho..as it's for someone..hehe :)

Hmmm..good question. It's nice to make one actually use their brain every once in a while. My perfect project would have to be more than likely an Asian design. Probably designed after one of those painted silk screens with dragonflies, cranes, water..etc. It would have a neat saying or the elements in Kanji symbols. I'd really enjoy that! Much like I'll enjoy Crane Paradise when I get started on it! LOL

Howdy do! Wonder if anyone noticed I haven't been online in a while?? Well here is the explanation behind my absence. I have retreated away from the computer for a while. I do contests on some of the message boards. I did 12 over Christmas alone...as I love bringing some cheer to people! It's what I live for. But anyhoo, I haven't been getting the prizes out in a timely enough fashion for some. I have been busy with other things, but have been checking my email..not replying..will do that soon..( Sorry Lili)..but anyhoo, imagine my surprise to find several ANON emails asking me where is my prize? It's been three months since Christmas..blah blah...you should have sent it by now..blah blah. Rather hurtful things.

Now I don't expect a thank you when I send out something....but acknowledgement of reciept would be nice. Otherwise, I wait the allotted time..and then go postal on my PO guy..who doesn't deserve it as it's just due to ungrateful people not writing me back!!! So needless to say, with all the recent activity..I have nearly decided to STOP my contests..and retreated away from the puter..as it hurt me too badly. :(

I haven't even been stitching..as it was a reminder of the contest fiasco...but I'm coming back out of my shell slowly...

I just try to make each package special...and cater it towards the individual....and well gosh darn it..that takes TIME!! Plus with the increase in postage, I don't have 50 bucks to blow at one time..I have to spread it out..as to not shock me..or T's wallet. LOL

Granted this vent is not addressed to all of you...as most of you have been very sweet! But I'm just telling ya why I've retreated....

Howdy do! yeehaw..today is Friday baby!! So what have I done since my last post?? Absolutely nothing! LOL I hung out with my stitchy friend in the city yesterday...we had a great time! No stitching of course...but plenty of yapping..and went to IHOP
( International House of Pancakes) for lunch..of course a trip to Michaels was also needed. LOL I didn't get much..just some beads that were on clearance. But it was soo good to see her as I haven't in about 5 months. LOL She was giving me compliments about how much weight I had lost..and how much healthier I look.....it's hard for me to take compliments...don't know why. Anyhoo, I still need to lose more...but I'll do it overtime I'm sure. It was just cool to be able to look at a menu at a restaurant..and not have to nit pick..nope..that'll make ya sick....umm no..too much fat...etc. LOL

So tonight it's hitting the grocery store...and just hanging out with T. Might get some stitching in tonight...work some more on the ornie.

Howdy do! Well now, it's been nearly six days since I've written. I'm a bad lady. :( Sorry bout that...I bet you think I've been stitching like mad! Hardly! LOL I have been working on my fobs...have made some more that I need to put pics up. :) I've been reading too...I got this tip for a great book from KarensBlog about a book by the author Louise Rennison..so I've been reading that! THANKS KAREN! It's a great book!! :)

But this is a stitching blog...and I have actually been stitching a bit as well...I started on the Baltimore Orioles square for BinkyHelpers. I also signed up for eight more squares...I'm finishing out the Peanuts theme and put a dent in Animal Magnetism theme. YAY! We really need stitchers. So PLEASE feel free to check out the site..and if you have some spare time and would like to give of yourself...it's a well worthy cause. :) I'll post some pics tomorrow...

Hmm..good question..makes me actually use the old brain cells...do you smell smoke?? LOL Anyhoo, I have one LNS nearby, well 20 minutes away, that I go to to hang out with the owner once a month to stitch with. She's a sweetie and very knowledgable! I don't shop much at her store..but I do get some things occasionaly. So having said that, I am an online shopper. I usually only buy online when I have a GC or when there's a BIG sale!!! I go anywhere from 123 stitch to Down Sunshine Lane..tho I have never ordered from Hofmandis..tho I do some major browsing from there!! LOL


Now..as to what I've been up to the last few days...simple..making scissor fobs. I am making them for some friends..and they are beaded. The hardest thing has been deciding the colors and extras to put on them. :) LOL I'm trying to get them mailed out before the price increase but I don't think it's going to happen. *sigh* Oh well..tomorrow I shall either continue the fob making..or GASP actually stitch!! LOL

Ahh the joys of gathering all the goodies for a new project. The new floss, finding the perfect needle, the fabric...that's the fun part! Today I have been doing two things...1. Winding DMC on bobbins...and 2. Finding all my beads to make fobs. The second part isn't that bad...just the part about realizing that you don't have a charm set you *thought* you did. You crafters all know it...you pick it up in the store..carry it around in your basket throughout the store...and end up putting it back because of the price...etc. But yet, on your way home..your mind has convinced itself that you have purchased said item to the point that many months later when you are FINALLY getting around to that project...you think you have it. These are the wicked mind games that are played with us crafters!!!

Back to the first part..winding floss. Now granted, I realize to some stitchers I am committing a cardinal sin in actually WINDING floss...*GASP..Faint...THUD*...But that is how I choose to store it. Granted it does produce kinky floss..( no chuckles please) but it makes it easier to store in those boxes. Anyhoo, upon deciding to go for it on Crane's Paradise ( which I STILL have not started) I had to buy more floss and thus now I'm winding it. You know you've wound too much floss when while you actual wind it around the bobbin....it kind of seems mesmerizing............

So that has been my day! Monotony anyone??? The good news is I'm almost done with winding...YAY!!! :) The bad news is when I spend the day winding floss...I don't feel like stitchin...so maybe I'll make some beaded fobs instead....pics to come soon!

Whoo hoo!! It's a whole new year! A New year to make those resolutions that will be broken by the end of the month! LOL A New year to plan all those stitchy projects and getting organized..*yeah right on the organized part* LOL A New Year...2006...may this be the best one yet! Now I am writing tonight instead of on the 31st to spare you from all the reflectiveness I went through last night. 2005 was a good and bad year...good being that I'm still here, beanless, and 100lbs lighter...bad being that I had to deal with the bean issue..but overall it was a good year! I still have T in my life..and love him very much...so that's good! :)

Anyhoo...*cheers* to 2006!!! I do have sort of stitchy plan that I will share with you all later...once I put the finishing touches on it. I worked on Chocolate Moose last night...until about midnight...( started on it around 1030) and then shortly after midnight..this old person went to bed. LOL I used to be able to stay up all hours of the night in college....which wasn't that long ago. LOL Anyhoo..here's the updated pic...I should be finishing him soon...he may have only been 42 x 42...but he's taking a LOoooong time! LOL
